Time For Change MinistriesAs 2013 drew to an end, we ran a Christianity Explored course in a prison with 12 men, who all moved forward in their understanding of the gospel, and their faith in God. They are all seeking God, wanting to know if he's really there, if he's relevant, and what difference that makes to them. The Christianity Explored course seeks to answer these questions, as we look at Who Jesus is, Why He came and What it means to follow him. Most of the group went on to do a course which looks at Guilt and Forgiveness, and aims to help them start to deal with these big issues. They are starting to understand the cost of being a Christian and consider whether they want to join the race, and are now starting a Discipleship Explored course.

We had a prison carol service on the Sunday before Christmas, which was really well attended, and had a visiting choir, who sang alongside the prisoners as well as singing carols to them. Taking a choir in is an opportunity to show that Christians do care about the people behind the wall. People giving up their time to come and sing in the prison is a great testimony to the prisoners and staff. Thank you to everyone who gave Christmas cards and calendars - they've been much appreciated! We've started a new CE course in two prisons this week, one with a small group of men, the other with a larger group of women. Also an evening Bible study will be starting in a third prison, probably with a small group initially, but we hope that it will grow in time.

Please pray that as I run the race, I persevere in His strength, whether it's a nice flat bit of road with a good view, or an uphill climb in the dark, and that I keep my eyes fixed on the One who gave me the gift of faith and will complete it.
