God of the Journey

Studies in Exodus

All Things NewOur Studies in Exodus in our evening series for the New Year at Highfields Cathays, will help us to focus on God – the God of the journey we are on as his pilgrim people. The book of Exodus has a number of key themes that flow from the character and power of the God who is moved by the afflictions of his people and comes down to save them.

On the basis of such grace, God enters into a covenant relationship with his people on Sinai and from such grace flows the worship of the community in prayer and pilgrimage. The continual saving presence of God amongst his people is their source of joy and strength. Exodus presents this glorious God as Lord of history, Lord of nature, Lord of his redeemed people and the Lord who provides for them in every aspect of their journey.

Be encouraged as we re-discover how great, good and gracious the God who is still in the midst of his people really is. As we enter a new year he is the God of the journey.

Jesus is Always Better

Jesus is Always BetterWe're starting the New Year on Sunday mornings with a series in Hebrews that will remind us that Jesus is always better. Whatever our circumstances, whatever our challenges and doubts, whatever our disappointments or failures, Jesus is always better. We are not sure who the author is but through his inspired writing we are cheered on as we run the race of faith.
